China Tungsten Price Stabilizes in Late December on Good Market Confidence

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price remains stable in the second half of December. Some smelting factories start to stop production to undergo repair at the end of the year and downstream buyers ground tungsten carbide rods replenish their stocks, but high-price transactions are hardly concluded and most market participants are cautious, waiting for new guide prices. 

The tungsten concentrate market still keeps firm. Sellers are reluctant to sell at low prices and psychological price reaches to $13,809.5 per tone with few deals concluded. Smelting factories in the APT market try to raise their offers, but low trading activity makes it become difficult and prices hover around $233.2 per mtu. As for the tungsten powder market, it is supported by firm raw material market and strong rised mentality of companies, but is still affected by the continued spread of Covid-19. In the short term, the market is expected to stabilize with the approaching of New Year.
